| The
Palm Creek Folk Festival is an annual event, held over the Queens Birthday weekend in June, in the lush tropical
grounds of the Mountain View Lake Eco Park, 40km south of Townsville, North Queensland.
The event takes place over four days and three nights involving
more than 100 performers and events with concerts, dances, workshops,
acoustic jams, youth festival, art and craft workshops, late
night cabarets and special events including a spectacular fire
event. The Festival features the cream of local performers and
a smattering of special guests. This year the theme is Space. Be sure to bring your fancy dress for Sunday night's Fancy Dress Parade.
If you'd like to be involved, whether by becoming a volunteer, performing, holding a stall or just kicking back and enjoying the music, one thing is guarenteed -a weekend to remember. |
