Please note: Most artists performing at the
Palm Creek Folk Festival camp on site in the Organisers and Performers
Camp in order to fully participate in the festival and events
during the week. Palm Creek is 40km from Townsville offering limited
alternative arrangements regarding accommodation, but in exceptional
circumstances, the festival may look at providing alternative
accommodation to successful applicants.
All accommodation arrangements will be negotiated with successful
applicants after the next step of the festival programming process.

As a general guide, our main stage evening concerts showcase
major regional and out-of-town headline bands, whilst our small
stage daytime concerts showcase a diverse range of local, regional
and out-of-town individuals, duos and groups.
The festival includes a range of workshops during the day and
invites individuals to apply for workshop presentation. We also
try to program street theatre/non-stage performance as well during
the festival.
Whilst our festival program budget is always limited, we do have
some scope to provide modest payment to performers and/or assistance
with travel where appropriate.
