The Festival is held at Mountain View Lake Holiday Park, 40km south of Townsville on the Bruce Highway. Just keep an eye out for the signposts and follow the arrows. The festival site is in the middle of the camping ground, about 2 km off the road and at the foot of Mt Elliot National Park.

Beautiful St Margaret Creek is an easy walk from the camp through the tropical rainforest. Walking further up the creek offers some excellent water holes and beautiful scenery. A path from Black Rock will lead you to the rock slides where the views are spectacular.

Accommodation

Palm Creek Festival is a camping weekend, with camping fees included in your ticket price. There are some great campsites in what must be described as an idyllic setting nestled under Mt Elliot. The grounds have hot showers, and temporary toilets (including disabled facilities) are brought in to augment existing facilities. Water is available but bring your own gas stoves for cooking. Of course you can always eat at the food stalls, wander through the craft stalls or share a Guinness at the bar.
